Yeah, finding a crew willing to pay their montly dues year round is the key - only a couple of these have succeeded in the long term. I think building something great is part of the key to success. I'm up for trying. This footage is from 2003, and this one's still going strong:

Author: DaveC The only reason I know that is because I used to have that problem back in the 70's and ol Dave Andrecht was one of the guys at the park who helped me fix that problem. Here's some pics of him at the grand opening of the park. skatealabama.com/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=12

Author: macsdaddy Please use this link to request completion of the Penn Valley Skatepark. I also asked for the addition of lights to cut down on illicit after hours activity Be professional in your requests; state that in its unfinished state the park is not really safe and elements are unusable. www.kcmo.org/publicimprovements.nsf/Request?OpenFormForward this to EVERYBODY.

I think a football helmet is the way to go curtis. cmoneyks wears a hockey helmet and those can be set up with a plexiglass eye shield? Hey Northlanders, check out this little playground I stumbled into: JohnF, I think you, Noah and Jared would really like it. It's kind of low and out of view too so I don't think there would be any hassles. It's actually a support over a ditch so it stays dry. The surface is good other than it's a driveway like broom texture. One side even has a little tranny at the base so pumping flat to bank shouldn't be difficult. If any of you want to check it out, send $5 to Gen [just kidding]; just PM me and I'll shoot you directions.

Hey guys, you need to check this out. It looks like Lee's Summit is finally moving the skate park forward. It appears as though they have ARC ramps in the spotlight. That would be one of the LEAST desirable of all things for this new park. Please consider coming out to be a part and to voice your opinions.
ACTION SPORT PARK COMMITTEE
DEMONSTRATION AND MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
We will have a demonstration of American Ramp Company equipment available for you to look over and try out on April 12th, 2008 from 1 PM to 3 PM. You must bring your own skateboard, inline skates or bike. The attached waiver must be signed by a parent at the time of the event or if the parent is not in attendance and pre-signed, it must be notarized. Helmets are required if you wish to try out the skate/bike features. Please attend the following if you can and bring your skateboard or bike to the demonstration. Your opinions of the different types of ramps will be appreciated. We are also hosting a meeting on April 22, 2008 from 7 PM to 9 PM to review designs submitted from various companies for the Skate/Bike Park to be located at Lea McKeighan North Park. We would appreciate your attendance and opinions on these designs.
Skate Feature Demonstration:
Lea McKeighan Park North 120 NE Chipman Road Lee’s Summit, Mo. April 12th 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Author: macsdaddy Thanks everybody. My eyes are fully treatable, so all is well. The X games are killing the vert ramp: expn.go.com/expn/story?id=3327593What they're replacing it with sounds interesting though.

Author: lucy I went to see my Grandma and skated Warrensburg and skated the park. It would be cool if there were not 100 kids in the middle airing off ledges and some sitting on a hip volcano thing. It was like bits of a bowl but no full bowl. Only one other old guy(ok I'm a girl but you know what I mean) was actually using the bowl/could be minihalf aspects of the park. I plan to go again when there should be less kids I will find out when that is and see Grandma and also go to Sedalia. The design of the park was cool if it was empty it would rock. It is with in view of Western Missouri Medical center, that is pure genius, even if it is an luck. I plan to make it out to the Prairie Village sesh for a bit. Am like 10 am, Curtis? When? Park www.warrensburg-mo.com/Parks/PnR_Temp_Programs/Skate_Park/SkateboardParkConcept-A.pdf It is a fun design but, who ever built this did something wacky with the concrete. It is smooth in places and not in others-I don't think that was intended. May be not hire these people? Thanks for the heads up, Brian.
