I think a Sims Lamar is one of my favorite decks I never had. I saw Bert at what I believe was his first pro contest and he tore the bowl up on that white and blue deck. Inverts were just starting to come in to play and he was hitting them as well as anyone so we saw the cool blue Sims Stickers all the time during his runs. That vision has stuck with me over the years.

Here's some repro stickers I've got. Not sure whether they're 1oo% accurate or not.

That vision has stuck with me over the years. I went to San Diego in early 1979 and skated the OG Oasis tear drop pool. This little young guy shows up and starts killing it - and everybody in the park comes over to watch - Bert Lamar. Great memory. He was kind of like Chad - destroying the pool, a million tricks and a HUGE smile on his face the whole time.

That Lamar deck is a thing of beauty. A nice bit of history Mike. Thanks for sharing.

Here is a photo of my new Santa Cruz Bullet church glass wheels next to my old worn out ones. The old ones are so worn you don't even need a bearing press remove the bearing. It just falls out. Attachments:

I found this site because of google leading me to this post. 'Twas a great relief because i have just been handed down my uncle's skateboard that he taught me to ride on as a kid and yes, it too is a makaha plastic deck. Just got new bushings on it and there was something else wrong. Shop down the street tells me i have no pivot cups, lols. Sad part is today's standard pivot cups are too big for this. It seems you have different trucks but i am wondering if you or someone else here can tell me where to buy smaller pivot cups? or even what size? was even trying to find roller skate pivot cups but couldn't find a site for that either. Thanks for your help! Just got this today! Old Makaha plastic deck, but has Gullwing HPG trucks and Power Paw wheels bolted to it! Attachments:

tyvm for the tip! i can see you are right about there being a lot of collectors there! Sadly you are also right about them being total ***holes because admin refuses to let me join. if anyone else has any ideas i appreciate the tips!
