I only know of Powell and some of the smaller California board company's like Pocket Pistol but when it comes to the bigger companies they are mostly China, Mexico and Canada. Canada manufactures seem to make really good stuff as well! I'll try to look more into it. I think SnB has a thread on that so just pop over there and take a gander!

Craig, I did some prowelling around. I see that a few companys do make a few boards here but do outsource as well so they can still be "made in america" for some of thier goods, sad! I am not a member of SNB, if you find anything please let me know. I think I am going to start buying decks made in Arkansas at Paiges place. Pagie is a cool guy and I know his stuff is as close to local as we can get.. thats until Mutant starts production of Wheat state skate and supply.. come on Mutant crank em out! Joe

Sully and joe, you're both on target. I've found that over the years, the bigger skate names will actually use different manufacturers even though they all end up under the same name. I won't post any brand names, but I think some of the brands just put a production "job" up for bid when they're doing a new graphic, size or shape and go with the best deal. Production time is a factor too. This is probably how some of the decks under the same brand name are made in the US while others with the same brand name may not be.
Powell and Mini Logo [Skate One] are made at their own plant in California. Smaller companies are more likely to be made in the US too. Shop decks may be a great USA made option too, as long as you can verify where they were really made. I say that because I know my shop decks were completely done at Watson Laminates in San Diego - press to finish. I'm sure other shops can verify their production info too.
Good decks can come from Canada and Mexico too although it may not help our US economy as much. Scum decks are about as good as any decks out there, and most of theirs say "Made In Mexico" right on them?
Something else to bring up here is that I get emails all the time from bearing and wheel manufacturers in other countries trying to sell me stuff. Most of the emails are hard to read because they can't write in English very well. I'm sure their products make it in to the US skate scene all the time.
joe, back to your original question, I really don't have a legitimate and accurate list of made in America products. I think going with the smaller companies that you know and trust may be your safest bet anymore.

good info Jimmy, thanks for the input.
I think that I am going to start looking more into this. The US is falling apart and I am just as guilty as the next person in the aid of doing this. We have 3 foriegn cars and 1 american brand car sitting in our driveway thats a ratio that I think I want to change in my life, each little step i can take to getting away from made in China is a better step for not just myself but for all of us.
I do know that Paige is pressing decks in Arkansas, I have been to his shop and have seen the production in progress, I do know that he gets over run jobs from other companys as well when the demand is high for them. I used to buy his decks for 15$ each out the back door of his shop.
I will contiune my search to see who is making what where, thanks Jimmy

Most of the trucks today are made somewhere else. Tracker is one of the few left that does everything here in the US. One of the reasons they don't have many color coated options on their trucks is because they tried doing their own powder coating a few years ago and found it was not cost competitive at all. They could ship their work elsewhere but decided not to.

How could we forget Acme! Acme has been around forever! They also brought us "boomarang in a box" oh, and let's not forget "earthquake pills", "personal rocket propulsion systems and the ever popular "powdered Boulders", just add water!
