Here's a new park that just opened about a month ago in Brighton, Colorado. Originally, they used Site Design to design it and hired a local company to do the concrete. That local company decided they were not able to do it for some reason so they sub-contracted California Skateparks to do the concrete work. The bowl is very similar to Penn Valley, just the opposite direction. It has Springfield type tiles, 2 deathboxes and made - for - skatepark pool coping. The Snake Bowl is fun but would take some time to get some lines working in it. I wish the over-vert pocket would have been with the Penn - type bowl instead because it would allow you crank up some more speed in the bowl. Even the street course was fun. It all flows together with the concrete mini and then the deeper corner sections. The mini and corners kind of felt like Swope with a bowled deep end.
This is a great park and one to check out if passing through the Denver area. It's a complete park with lights, picnic area, real bathrooms, parking and landscaping. The cost of this whole facility - $700K +. The Parks and Rec guys were there while we were skating and shared this info with us. They loved seeing old guys, especially from out of state checking it out. There was a guy from Pittsburgh, Pa. riding with us too. Killer session.
