Great example of the city using local flatwork contractors. Just cause they can pour a driveway don't mean they should be building skateparks. I bet it looked killer on paper.

I cant stand this place. Shawnee is down the street aways. So go there instead.

This was the first skatepark I rode when I moved here. The spine is pretty cool but the mini would have been great if the concrete wasn't so darn lumpy and wavy. They should put a layer of skatelite on it. The street area isn't too bad but why go here when there is Shawnee.

the spine is fun. it's cool to grind around and down the bowl. and i like trying tricks on the 3' quarter that i wouldn't try on shawnee's 5' quarter. i agree it's also not my first choice when driving that direction. but before shawnee, pv, or penn, the lenexa park was a kickin place.

I also live very close to this park and yet seem to drive right past it when wanting to go skate!

This park may be overshadowed with Shawnee and Prairie Village near by, but it still looks like a fun place to work on new tricks. Actually, I'd love to have this park up north somewhere. Just ride Pleasant Valley for awhile and you wont even notice the imperfections of Lenexa.

Braden, Devo and I rode that park once about 2 weeks before it opened, and that was the last time I ever rode it.

Really Lenexa skatepark is kickass and I wish more parks had the variety of obsticals. They did ^@#$ up the half pipe though. Redo that and it is a pretty solid street course.
