LOCATION: 3040 Penn Street; Downtown/Midtown Kansas City MAP LINK: Click HereLIGHTS: No HOURS: 7:00 am until 10:00 pm DESCRIPTION: This park is a very well built park by California Skateparks. The bowl has great flow in both directions, the coping is all set properly and the surface is excellent. This is probably the most popular park in KC given its convenient midtown location and that it has easy drop ins and transitions to allow riders of almost any ability level to enjoy. Please post comments about Penn Valley Skatepark on this thread.

This is the first place I figured out how to really carve.

Penn's midtown location has helped it become the "hub" of bowl activity in KC. The bowl is very consistent and predictable. Whether you're just carving around or going for big tricks, this bowl is versatile enough for about anyone. It's surface is excellent, bring your hardest - fastest wheels you can find. The coping is all set right too. California Skateparks did a nice job on this park, as they do everywhere.

I KNOW! Right Mike!?!?!?! Don't listen to ANY of these NAY SAYERS! This is the best park in KC! Don't get me wrong... I love the rest of them. They are all fun to skate... but Penn Valley is TOO perfect!

This park is great for going fast, learning new tricks, and just plain carvin' the coping. The only annoying thing about it is the extracurricular activities that go on in the parking lot....

Killer. Penn is a great place to get radical. There's almost always a session brewing. Park forward.

Although PSt. is not completed and he or she should never skate there alone, it's one of the best three parks we have to skate; regardless of what my son stated. And the Salba Demo was one heck of an Epic way to celebrate a grand-opening. Thanks Mike C. and others' for getting this park on the map for all of us to enjoy!

My favorite park to hit when I get a chance to make it up there. Bros are usually lots of fun ( lot lizards not included)
